A prestigious location in the historic center of Bologna.
Palazzo De’ Toschi is located in the heart of the historic center of Bologna, overlooking the splendid Piazza Minghetti and is known by all as Palazzo delle Poste.
Banca di Bologna purchased and restored it to its former glory, returning it to the city of Bologna in all its majesty.
The building, built on the project of the Roman architect Antonio Sarti, was studied as part of the national program of structuring the postal service for the entire Italian territory, following the unification of Italy and was completed and inaugurated in 1905.
Its structure in reinforced concrete represented for the epoch a remarkable detail, so that Le Corbusier visited it on the occasion of his passage to Bologna during his trip to Italy in 1906, certainly attracted by the structural commitment of the building.
Particularly impressive and majestic, the large monumental staircase that allows access to the upper floors is very interesting in the historical evaluation of the building.

The Hotel is in the centre of Bologna, near the pedestrian area, outside the restricted traffic zone and just a short walk from Bologna Centrale
railway station and Piazza Maggiore.
To reach the Hotel using satellite navigation, it should be set for Via Milazzo 6 to avoid the restricted traffic zone.
The Hotel is just 5 km from G. Marconi airport.

By plane
Guglielmo Marconi International Airport (BLQ) Airport address: Via Triumvirato, 84 – 40132 Bologna (BO)
The Bologna airport, Guglielmo Marconi, is served by both international flag companies and low-cost European flights. It is about 6 km from the Bologna Centrale train station and the historic center.
From the airport you can reach the office by taxi (about 20 minutes, approximate cost € 20.00).
Alternatively, with Aerobus you can get to the central railway station of Bologna (20-30 minutes, cost € 6.00, runs every 11 minutes).
By train
Bologna Centrale railway station is served by Trenitalia and Italo.

The station is about 20 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by taxi from the conference venue.
By bus

Bologna is well connected to the major Italian cities. With Milan, Florence and Rome, the city is
connected to the A1 motorway.
The A13 motorway connects the city with Ferrara, Padua and Venice, while the A14 connects the city
with Rimini and Ravenna.
Palazzo De’ Toschi is located in the area of the historical center with limited traffic (ZTL) in which the
movement of motor vehicles is subject to limitations.
Access to the ZTL is supervised by the “Sirio electronic”. The garages located in areas with limited traffic, as well as hotels and bed &
breakfasts are required to issue a special mark and communicate to the offices in charge the plaques of their customers who are included in the
list of vehicles authorized at the entrance and that will not be fined.
